Coping with Your Twins with Reflux

Anyone with young infants that have the reflux conditon knows the anguish it can cause for all concerned.  Babies who suffer from the severe form of this conditon will often cry constantly which can be very exhausting for the parents or carers.  If you have twins then coping will most certainly be very difficult for you.  It may be difficult to do anything other than holding your babies as they need extra comforting because of their condition.

Get Help!

If you have any family that can help call them to come when they're available.  Even if it's a few times a week.  I've spoken to many families who find it difficult to do anything, even having a shower is an ordeal, because of the sound of your baby's whinging or the fear of your child vomiting whilst you're out of the room. If you can afford it, pay for help! But here are some tips to getting help of free.

Contact local Maternity Nursing Agencies, ask them if they have any trainees on their books who are willing to come and work for experience and a reference.  Negotiate a deal with them where you can offer them free lunch eg sandwiches (don't go cooking a big three course meal!).  If they perform well you can write them a glowing reference.

You can also advertise on free websites such as Gumtree.com requesting for trainees.  Most people getting into this industry in the UK will get 'a police check' done!  You can ask to look at their's when they come along.  Baby911 have helped many families with twin babies who have reflux, don't be afraid to ask for help as it is an absolute neccesity.
